Institution’s Innovation Council

MHRD’s Innovation Cell is an initiative with the mandate to work closely with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of India to encourage the creative energy of student population to work on new ideas and innovation and promote them to create start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures. As the Prime Minister of India has declared decade 2010-20 as ‘Decade of Innovation’, the MHRD Innovation Cell aims to create an eco-system which will encourage, inspire and nurture young students by exposing them to new ideas and processes resulting in innovative activities in their formative years. This program was inaugurated on 21st November 2018 at AICTE HQ New Delhi by Honorable Minister of HRD and since then a network of 950+ Institution’s Innovation Council has been established across country. As a part of MHRD’s Innovation Cell, the Institution’s Innovation Council was formed at Biswanath College in November 2019 and it has been approved by MHRD’s Innovation Cell on 5th of November, 2019. The council, since its formation, has been adopting numerous activities in the campus.
